John Byrne

As part of the Ridgeline Team, John believes in helping people to live healthier lives. His passions for understanding the body, serving others, and investing has led him into a career focused on supporting businesses at the forefront of health and wellness. 

Prior to Ridgeline, John was an Analyst at Gullspång Re:food, a venture investment fund focused on early stage consumer food and health companies. Originally from Southern California, John graduated from UC Berkeley, where he received a dual bachelor’s degree in business administration and political economy from the Haas School of Business. Alongside Professor David Levine, he researched the potential for private market investment to catalyze innovation in our markets, with a focus on health.

John believes in using our opportunities in life to serve and impact others. John most recently founded the Agape Fund, a Donor-Advised Fund that allocates grants to research in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Down syndrome Regression Disorder. Members of the Fund fundraise ahead of and participate in Ironman Triathlons.
